Long Island raised artist, Joel Miller approaches art through the lens of his illustrious career in Psychology. Joel’s perspective on visual art is rooted in his decades of clinical work with patients where he employed imagery as a critical diagnostic evaluation tool. Miller states, “The imagery modality is not only visual but can engage all senses, including interpersonal relationships and emotional expression.” Miller has extensive experience applying artistic creativity to facilitate change and personal growth in both his practice and personal life.

ART is a co-curation between the artist’s activity and the observer’s experience. Joel embarked on a deeper exploration of abstract art after attending a workshop at the Old School Square Art Center in Delray Beach, Florida, in 2016. Since then, he has attended numerous workshops and built an extensive body of work, creating a visual narrative and developing a symbolic language through his characteristic brushstrokes, which he refers to as “JAZZ ART.”
